"The Herb Bible"

The Herb Book by John Lust, is the only book I will ever recommend to anyone who is serious about growing herbs.  It is the most comprehensive book on herbs you will ever own.  It is a nice compact paperback, and very likely available in discount bookstores or even on thrift store book shelves.  In fact, every copy I ever bought was from a thrift store.  Why are they available so cheaply? Because this is a serious book, not a picture book, you actually have to read this.  Most people want pretty color photos to look at, and although there are illustrations, this is not a picture book.  People who are serious about herbs know and love it. But don't just take my word for it, check out Amazon's user comments on this book.

ditto to what you say about this book. I found my copy here in an Australian op-shop for $2- and the only way to make it better would be to add color pictures. I'm in the process of planting out a garden like yours in my front yard. I figure most nobody will know what my plants are so will not take them. A different story if I planted my veggies out there. I look forward to reading through your post. Thanks for creating it
